Capers are a great texture and flavor addition to most dishes. They are also known as Flinders rose. Capers are an amazing ingredient to your Italian, French, and Greek recipes. This winter-deciduous plant is known to bear fleshy leaves and edible flower buds. These buds are simply called as capers and they are not particularly flavorful. But Roland’s capers are cured in brine and sherry vinegar which gives the immature buds a sharp and distinct flavor. Before including them to your dishes, capers need to be washed and rinsed thoroughly under running water to draw off excess saltiness. They are a wonderful addition to your sauces and meat dishes.
