This is probably my favorite Italian Candy, maybe even of all candies. Whenever I receive any type of chocolate candy I always select those with hard centers so even though this doesn't have chocolate covering, it definitely satisfies the crunch craving, plus I love almonds so it's a perfect match. I use a rolling pin to break up a block this size and then put the pieces in a airtight plastic container, so I can enjoy a piece (or two, or three) any time. This candy doesn't last long in my house so I usually buy 2 or 3 blocks at a time.

I am very satisfied with the Hard Torrone I purchased; it's exactly what I remembered as a little girl, and each bite reminds me of being with my Italian uncle a hundred years ago.
